GDAE = CGDA for American style Mandola
Mandola strings are hard to find. European mandolas are tuned GDAE and these strings though marked GDAE work fine for American style mandolins tuned CGDA.
Thomastik’s light gauge (#174 w = #174 light) works best on my Collings MT Mandola.
They also last much longer than cheaper strings and they are plenty loud.
