True Vintage Correct Tailpiece for any late ’50’s Les Paul Standard for half the price!
I purchased a rare Epiphone® Limited Edition Les Paul Standard® PlusTop PRO Dirty LemonBurst Electric Guitar (1 of only 3000), which has Custom Shop® Matched Flamed Maple tops. Once I received it I knew I wanted to do a 1959 True Historic™ Vintage-Correct conversion of all electronics, hardware, and even correct the “Polyurethane Shine” to look more like a true Nitrocellulose VOS® (Vintage Original Specification®) that the Custom Shop® creates. The Gotoh® Vintage Specs (Era-Correct) Nickel-plated Solid Aluminum “Stopbar” Tailpiece; which is half the price of the Gibson® or Gibson®-Authorized supplier, TonePros® versions of this exact product. I combined this Gotoh® Vintage Nickel-plated Solid Aluminum “Stopbar” Tailpiece with TonePros® System II™ Nickel-plated Metric (M8 x 1.25) Locking Tailpiece Studs and TonePros® System II™ Adjustable Nickel-plated Metric (M8 x 1.25, ‘Large Post’), Pre-Slotted, Locking Steel Tune-o-Matic Bridge which using Period-Correct Materials creates a Vintage-style, Vintage Sustain, and sound as close to “True Historic™” as any Custom Shop® version.
