These worked great for me! I am not a professional. I only replaced frets on one guitar. They performed perfectly, able to bite the frets without gouging the fretboard and trim the frets cleanly. Well worth it!

These are top-notch!

These were quite inexpensive and are GREAT! Truly one of the best deals I’ve ever gotten on Amazon. I used these on my very first fret job on my son’s Fender Strat Pro II, and they exceeded expectations. I installed jumbo Stainless frets, which are supposed to be tougher on luthier tools due to the metal hardness, but these things cut through them like butter and left a clean cut every time. Also used them as the fret puller, and they did not disappoint; another reviewer claimed that they would not get under the fret, but mine were perfectly milled and worked well without modification. Maybe he got a lemon? No damage whatsoever to the tool after a full fret job.
Definitely a must-buy.

Great tool for pulling frets without fretboard injuries. Just right. Quality forged steel hand-held tool. I was not disappointed with the cheap.

Pulled 24 frets without a hitch

First time I’ve ever pulled frets, pulled 24 from a 20+ yr old Washburn neck with zero visible damage, and the tool still looks brand new. Very pleased with the value of this tool. Bravo.

Ordinary nippers…not a guitar-specific tool.
Reviewed in the United States on December 14, 2022
I bought these to remove old frets. But the jaws are not any more sharply beveled and do not cut any more flush than any normal set of nippers you’d find at your local hardware store. They would not get under the fret edges nor grip the sides of the frets. You’ll need to pry the frets up at one end with a blade to get things started. I may try custom grinding the jaws to avoid that in the future if I happen to have the time. Hassle.

While Stewmac is charging fortune for their tools, this seller is charging honest price for the same kind of quality tools. Great buy! Grips very well to pull out guitar frets.
