Best rasp I have ever bought.
This rasp is by far the best rasp I have ever bought in my well over 25-years of woodworking. They remove material quickly and accurately, once you get used to how they work. I recommend these to all my woodworking acquaintances and friends. Especially good for removing material when working on guitar and other stringed instrument necks.

Great for shaping wood and getting through material quickly
This Saw File is fantastic! I use it to carve guitar necks from maple blanks. It feels much more comfortable to use than a standard file or rasp. It removes material at a lightning pace.
I ended up buying the shorter version, as well. The shorter file measures about 1″ less than the “L” model. Made in Japan, not China, so is a tool and not a piece of junk.

Saw File
Really worked great for shaping the neck on the guitar I’m building. The aggressive side really removes material and the fine side helps get it closer for sanding. I will definitely be using this on all my builds.

This Ain’t your grandfather’s Rasp
This is a wonderful product for shaping wood. You need to keep an eye on it though. It removes wood aggressively and it’s easy to go too far. I can’t think of another abrasive hand tool that is this efficient. Makes short work of shaping thinks such as guitar necks and even the first stages of leveling binding…using the fine side – CAREFULLY! Try it once and it’s immediately indispensable.
