Description
Original Fender 250s: The “high-octane” nickel-plated steel string for your electric guitar. With a pure steel wrap, the magnets in your pickups use the whole string, not just the core, and transform the energy into high-output bursts of sound. The nickel plating enhances the feel while reducing “string squeak” and fret wear without compromising tone.
Combine the high output and dynamic sound of steel with the smooth feel of nickel; perfect for rock and other styles of music where the guitar needs to cut through.

Warmer Tone than Super Bullets
Size: 9-42Color: Original Bullets
I use Fender’s Bullet Strings exclusively for my American Strat because they’re made to fit perfectly into the Strat bridge. I don’t like the way ball-end strings fit in there sort of haphazardly. Bullets go into the bridge perfectly every time and provide consistency.
I have tried the Super Bullets which have a steel core, and I like them but I found their sound to be too edgy and sharp for my style.
The Fender Original Bullet Strings in 9 Gauge can have a warmer, almost bluesy tone when I want them to, can do some country fill, and also sound good with overdrive. Being in a classic rock/country cover band and only having one ax on stage with me, I like that these strings can be versatile. I have found that I really like these strings and see no reason to change. Rock on, Fender! 🤘

Silky smooth
Size: 9-42Color: Original Bullets
Leaving aside the question of tone, I like these strings because they feel good. I guess my fingers must just like the feel of nickel – there is a silky smoothness about them that I find steel strings (Super-Bullets) just can’t match. I have not used any other kind of strings on my Strat for some time now and I’ve been fitting these to my other guitars too even though they’re not designed for bullet ends – the results have been excellent.
On the question of tone, nearly all my playing is neck pickup through an overdriven all-valve amplifier and I am perfectly satisfied with the tone I’m getting from these strings using that set-up. I have found these to be excellent strings – highly recommended.
