Fantastic Power Tubes!
Color: Matched Pair
I started getting some volume drop from the Monoprice 15W amp that’s a killer deal when on sale. I’ve had it for about 18 months of intermittent use, but it was time to replace the cheap Chinese power tubes that came with it. I also replaced the 12AX7 in the V1 position with a Tung-Sol at the same time and WOW, really worth the effort and money well spent! This little tube amp never sounded so good and I would swear it’s as good as just about any top guitar amp at twice the price- in about the $400 range. You would really have to spend $600 or more to get anything that sounded noticeably better the Monoprice 15W with these power tubes and the Tung-Sol in V1.

Fantastic!
Color: Matched Pair
Mounted on my Fender Blues Junior, they made a difference from the factory-installed grove tubes (which, by the way, we’re starting to knob). I think I’ll also put them in the pre, these JJs sound really well, the highs are less annoying and manageable, but always present (useful especially on ampli like mine that do not have control of presence). I mean, once in a lifetime they have to be tried! Highly recommended:)
Ps. For their duration I will update the review.

Rock Tubes All the Way
Color: Matched Pair
They work great for rock style players, but if you’re looking for a smoother tone, look elsewhere. I give them four stars because they are great for rock style guitarists, I’m into blues, so these don’t work for me. But for the price it does not hurt to try different tubes. These are great for humbucker guitars, single coils will sound a bit harsh but still playable if you decrease the treble on guitar.
